Behind the Roles
About Dylan
Stanley Kowalski and Iago, Petruchio and Molina, the Cat and Willy Wonka: Dylan Collins has played the villains, the dreamers, and the clowns, from a Tennessee Williams pair at the San Pedro Playhouse to Magik Theatre mornings for San Antonio’s youngest audiences.

He came up on the stages of the Hudson Valley and has spent the last two decades in San Antonio, from Shakespeare in the Park to the Woodlawn and the Magik, with a pair of Hill Country westerns for the Cacy Brothers in between.
Offstage he has run the back of the house too: lights, sound, rigging, and the deck, for a theatre that turns over a new show most weeks. It shows in how he works with a company: on time, off book, and generous in the scene.
Classical drama, musical theatre, comedy, film, and family productions: the range is the point, and the next role is always the favourite.
Ask Dylan what a theater runs on and the answer is short: sweat, dedication, and love.
